Load prediction advises energy planning from the view of end-users, but it lacks certainties during the initial stage of urban design. This project yielded practical methods to unite software simulation and data mining to estimate the load of building blocks, and developed Excel-VBA spread sheet prediction tools based on typical ‘load/area’ index database.
Community formation describes how building space interacts with outer space. Not only the building itself but also the way it interacts with local environment affects the building energy consumption, like the shading & PV generation, air vortex & microclimate. This research offers detailed review to address this issue.
