Energy saving, especially automatic room-level management may enlarge the margin profit running the hotel business. This project aims to establish a universal, fast and robust model to analyze the energy saving potential of hotel buildings equipped with terminal management system, thus acquiring basic knowledge about returns on investment, during bidding process. The research was performed based on the actual operation data of 2 hotels. We used the Markov Chain method and a Monte-Carlo stochastic model to simulate the occupancy and set-point adjustment. Resulting software may inform the operators of energy saving improvement.
